Ella and family, We were all devastated and incredibly sad to hear of Jo's death. She was such a special, warm and vibrant lady who touched so many lives. We loved having Ella to stay over NZ Water Polo weekends, and really enjoyed our fleeting contact with Jo. Ella, we are thinking of you and your family. Unfortunately, we did not hear of Jo's death until too late to make it to the Memorial Service. With love and support, Charlotte, James, Sheryl and Miles

Jo was one of a kind. She shone with love and life. She literally lit up a room and her energy and sense of fun was always with her. Her girls were the most important thing in her life and she was so proud of you all. A beautiful beautiful woman.

To Max and girls (Lucy, Rosey & Ella who we have yet to meet) we knew Jo through a certain interest in a certain thoroughbred over the past three years. Sometimes we are privileged in life no matter how fleeting to meet people so special in character, courage, passion and genuine love of life and people. We have been blessed to have met someone whose smile alone lit up a room let alone her affinity with everyone around her...Aroha nui ki a tatou

Jo was a wonderful friend over a period of 30 years. Her love and commitment to her family and friends was exemplary. I was lucky to be the recipient of her great kindness as she supported me through my various issues. She was always there for me no matter what other commitments she might have had at the time. My lasting memory will be that first day at Karori Normal School when Jo introduced herself to me thus commencing our friendship which only strenthened over the years through our shared experiences. Memories are forever. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.
Love Jane, Craig and family.

Nick and I were so very sorry to hear your terribly sad news. I have always had a great respect for Jo, especially during our time on Queen Margaret College, 'Parents Association.' She had impeccable taste and outstanding organisational skills. Not only that, but Jo could get anyone, to do anything, before any of us knew, we were actually doing it! I shall always remember her with great fondness. Nick and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you all.
