Joan WALKER Obituary

WALKER, Joan Beverley Mary. On Thursday 29th July 2021, peacefully at Whakatane Hospital surrounded by family; aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of the late George (Hori). Cherished and loved mother and mother in law of Jim and Kathy, Ray and Dale, Steve and Joanne, Carolyn and Martin, Gayle and Mark. Proud nana of Mark, Dion, Ben, Nikki, Scott, John (deceased), Mike, Megan (deceased), Sean, Stephanie, Logan, Sarah, Hannah, Emily, Abbey, Holly and Samuel. Step nana of Rhys and Ashley. Great grandmother of Esther, Eva, Olivia, Autumn, George, Koby, Max and Zara. Step great grandmother of Lylah, Seth, Payton, Kai and Luna Special thanks to Mary Shapley for the love and care shown to mum during her time there. Also thank you to the wonderful staff at Whakatane Hospital for their loving care. A celebration of Joan's life will be held in the Knox Presbyterian Church, Domain Road, Whakatane on Tuesday 3rd August at 1pm followed by burial in the New Lawn Memorial section of Hillcrest Cemetery.
