Aunty Joan was the best second Mum I could of ever asked for. Great memories of a great lady and a great place to grow up, Matapouri Road, Mangere Bridge. Aunty Joan was the epitome of an awesome nurturing, caring, loving, selfless Mother, Aunty, Friend, her personality was a joy to be around, always happy, singing, positive, her vibe was contagious and beautiful, as she was. A real character that touched so many people's lives in so many different ways, making everyone feel warmly welcome at all times. Aunty Joan was one of a kind, so unique, genuine, loyal and true to herself, never had hang ups and was so bold. Gardening in her bikini never bothered her, if you've got it flaunt it attitude and she did! Thank you Aunty for teaching me so much and treating me like another daughter, you have made my life better and the World is a better place for having had you in it. I am in gratitude daily for everything you did for me and for all the amazing memories. I hope you Rest in Eternal Love and Peace, you sure deserve it. I hope you continue to garden in your bikini, sing etc. You will always and forever have a special place in my heart and soul. I don't believe in goodbyes so until we meet again my beautiful Aunty Joan keep being your gorgeous self. Thank you for being you.
