Joan MOON Obituary
MOON, Joan Elizabeth Peacefully passed away with family by her side at Southlake Hospital in Newmarket on August 20, 2017. Joan was best friend and sister of Sandra (Gerry) Goller and the late Keith (Margaret) Moon. She was the much loved aunt of Heather Moon (Anthony Edwards), Paul Moon, Diana (R. J.) Ford and Darren (Lisa) Goller. Joan was the cherished great-aunt of Luke, Scott, Sophie, Nathan, Aiden and Connor and will also be greatly missed by her many friends, especially Shirley Bowles. Visitation at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, on Tuesday, August 29th, 6-8 p.m. The Memorial Service at Richmond Hill United Church, 10201 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, on Wednesday, August 30th, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception. In memory of Joan, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Richmond Hill United Church or Mackenzie Health Foundation. Online condolences may be directed to marshallfuneralhome.com

To add to my last entry, I would like to say that I have often mused that the girls to whom Joan taught Phys. Ed., were surely lucky to have her since I'm sure they could come to her with any sort of trouble or problem....that's the kind of wonderful teacher she was!
