Joan LEONARD Obituary

LEONARD, Joan Patricia (nee Dawson). Passed away peacefully on May 11th 2024 aged 99 years (and a quarter). Beloved wife of James (deceased). Much loved mother of Timothy, Chimgee, Cynthia, Teresa and Ralph. Cherished grandma of James, Patrick, Ciaran and Tommy. Loving aunty and great aunt to many nephews and nieces. A dear friend to many, which you all were to her. We are so grateful to have had you for such a long time in our lives. Your wisdom and sense of humour will be in our hearts forever. Rest in God's arms. A private family service will be held for Joan followed by Interment at Waikumete Cemetary.

What a wonderful lady Joan was. She taught one of my children at St Leonards and was also a work colleague when I started working there. When she retired I used to get little jars of lemon honey put in my letter box when it was the lemon season. RIP Joan.

So very sorry to hear of Auntie Joan's passing but what a life!
She has left you all with so many beautiful memories and I'm sure there will be many laugh's remembering them. Sending you lots of love and hugs.
