Joan JOHNSTON Obituary

JOHNSTON, Joan Ellen Campbell. Passed away peacefully on 8 January 2024 aged 94 years. Loved wife of the late Johnny Johnston. Beloved mother of Richard and Grant, mother-in-law to Kathy, adored grandmother to Claire and Amy and loved sister of Dick. Thank you to staff and carers of Miranda Smith Homecare for their kind and professional service, and special thanks to Deepthi. A service to celebrate Joan's life will be held on Friday 12 January at the All Souls Chapel, Purewa Cemetery, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank at 11am.

deepest sympathy to Joan's family. Such a loved Mother and Granny. Joan was a dear friend, and confidante. She was in my first painting class at the Historic Pah Farm Stables in the 80s. Over many years that class became a "family" enjoying not only classes, but lunches and outings together. She was a wonderful homemaker, hostess and her baking was legendary. I hold such Happy memories of those magical days and times.
