"Aunty Joan" will always hold a Special place in my heart. I hold Very Fond Memories... Always so loving and caring, and had a great sense of humour. Always there, no matter what... So sorry to hear of Joan's passing. She will certainly be remembered by me as a happy kind caring lady who was always up for a chat. Loved to hear stories about all her different projects. She certainly kept her fingers busy with her passion for sewing. I shall also miss her emails flying across the ditch. Deepest Sympathy to the Family.

Joan was a lovely friend who never complained about life and was always fun to be with. It was a pleasure to see her love of John and her enjoyment of her home in Opua and the wonderful support of her family. She will be missed by my partner Tony and myself
