Joan GREGAN Obituary
GREGAN, Joan (nee Oughton). Born Christchurch 16 November 1926. Died peacefully Mother's Day 12 May 2024 at Ranfurly Veteran's Home and Hospital. Dearly loved wife of the late Patrick Joseph Gregan. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Sally and Antoni, Jane and Chris, David and Tui, Brian and Lorraine, Philip and Robyn, and Libby and Warren. Nana Joan to 11 and Great Grandmother to 9. Daughter of the late George and Muriel Oughton, sister of the late Paul Oughton, and sister and sister-in-law of David and Pam Oughton, Titahi Bay. Sincere thanks and gratitude for the wonderful care that all the staff at Ranfurly provided for Joan and Pat. A private service and cremation has taken place. R.I.P Darling Mum.

It is with sadness that we learnt of the passing of Aunty Joan. I was very fortunate to enjoy lots of time with Pat and Joan during my time at university in Auckland. We also enjoyed many family visits with them in Auckland and on their visits to the South island. My late father (Michael Rooney), like us all, held both Pat and Joan in high regard. May Joan, Pat, Jim, Jean and all of the deceased members of the Gregan and Rooney Families Rest in Peace.
