COWLEY, Joan Helena. Suddenly and unexpectedly died on Christmas Day 2022 aged 93 years, surrounded by family. Loving and devoted wife of the late Jim Cowley. Loved and admired mother and mother-in-law of Brian and Gayleen, Suzanne and John, Catherine, Wendy and Kevin, Nicola and Matthew, and Robert and Sandra. Cherished and inspirational grandmother of 15: Lisa, Shannon, Emma and Rachael; Sarah and David; Jemma, Mark and Claire; Jared, Jeremy and Nikolas, Isobel, Jacob and Edie. Very special great- grandmother of 24: Riley, Campbell, Archie, Wyatt, Harlem, Annabelle, Thomas, Alex, Quinn, Leo, Abigail, Esme, Jude, Sophie, Grace, Lucas, Aiden, Jack, Elora, Lola, Darcie, William, Kyran and Tyler - what an amazing legacy! A Funeral service to celerbrate Joan's life will be held at First Presbyterian Church 2 Coles Cres Papakura on Friday 6th January 2023 at 11.30am Mum loved an explosion of colour - dress in your brightest. Joan was one of those people you want in your life forever, so inspiring, always loved her visits to the hair salon, amazing example of aging well. God bless you dear Joan and sincere sympathy to the family. The cutting of the plant she gave me is thriving by the front door.

What a wonderful gardener she was! Always out tending her veges and flowers, where she was happiest. Will always have wonderful memories of working in your garden, and your friendship Joan, it was a real pleasure. Your smiling face and vitality will be missed. Be at rest now with God.
