Jillian BREWIS Obituary

Jill was part of my orienteering life some time ago and I miss her. I came here today because I thought of her while using one of her books - which she kindly gave me last time we met. Our number two son is named for Andy.

To dear Jill, You were the sweetest, kindest Godmother and family friend. Always so generous and hospitable, smiling and so supportive of everything I did. As a family, you will be very much missed....such wonderful memories of time at Matheson Bay with you and the Brewis clan. Thank you and onwards to the next life. With much sympathy to the Brewis family and our love to you from all the Browne family. You'll be missed but never forgotten....XX

Fond memories of Jill and Andy and later Ernesto. Great friends, fellow travellers and wine connoisseurs of Heather and Tom Clendon. Sending love on behalf of Heather and the late Tom, as well as myself. She will be truly missed.

Jill was a special person. When I first came to New Zealand she was very kind, funny and supportive to me whenever we met. You are remembered with much affection. Go well lovely lady.

Jill was' and will' remain in my memory always as such a vibrant unique Woman and a wonderful friend. - It was such a pleasure And a challenge for me' to match Jill's standard of Excellence that she demanded from herself - when we worked together ' over the past years ' on many Food projects.

BREWIS, Jillian Ruth (Jill) (nee Calver). Born 20 January 1937. Passed away 10 January 2024. Wife of the late Andrew Brewis and the late Ernesto Henriod. Our beloved mother is now at rest. BREWIS, Jill. My dear friend Jill and I met some 30 years ago at the New Zealand Guild of Food Writers. So many good times and memories over the years.
