Jill RUSSELL Obituary

I have just become aware today, 19th August of Jill's passing. Jill, Bruce and Stephen were tenants of my parents at Tamahere near Hamilton 65 years ago. Jill and my late mother Barbara Herbert spent many an hour, and hours, and hours shopping in downtown Hamilton! Both families became firm friends and this friendship has lasted all these years. Our trips to Northland will never be the same without the hilarious and happy get togethers with Jill and of course dear Bruce at Ruakaka. Rest in peace dear Jilly...our sincere sympathy and love to Stephen and your brothers.

We enjoyed every minute with Jill, from when we first met in 2020 during Covid lockdown. She found us at #52, her neighbour and lost family. From the initial door knock to the many fun filled discussions sharing family stories over the next few years, will always be treasured.

My dad, her younger half brother´s funeral notice commenced the hunt for her lost siblings. Dad would have loved knowing of his elder sister, and I´m sure he´s been waiting on the other side for an overdue catch up.

Tracey, Craig, Steve & I will always recall the `Aunty Jill Bus´ and the laughter we shared together.

We are all very proud to have met and enjoyed Aunty Jills company over a few short years.

Steve, Jay, Josh and I send our warm regards & Condolences to Stephen and family during this sad time.

Dearly loved Big sister of Guy Harrison, loved sister-in-law of Linda. Loved and treasured Aunty of Donna, Janeen, Katrina, Shane and Miles and their children. She was a very dynamic lady and will be sadly missed. Rest in peace Jilly.
