Jessie NEWMAN-CRUTTENDEN-COOGAN Obituary

NEWMAN-CRUTTENDEN -COOGAN, Jessie Ann. 12 November 1939 - 26 July 2022. Formerly of Mangapara, Ohura. Daughter of the late Madeline Carlyon-Cruttenden and Mick Coogan, loved sister of the late Mavis, Peter and Josie. Beloved partner of Peter Webb (Taupo) for 31 years. Former wife of Pat Newman (Ohura). Much loved mother and best mother-in-law in the whole world to; Gaylene and Tony (Te Kuiti-Matiere), Guy (Taupo), Lorraine and Grant (Koonoomoo, Australia), Mirella and Scott (Tauranga). Adored Grandma and Great- Grammie to; Adam, Becky, Riley and Lexi Swanson (Reporoa, Taupo), Lee Swanson and his girls, Brooke and Madison (Billings- Montana and Hamilton, NZ), Kerry, Johno, Ruby, Brendon and Noah Busst (Reporoa, Taupo), William Hoyle (Koonoomoo, Australia) and last but not least, her favourite grand-dog, Douglas Newman (Tauranga). Friend to Barb, Kevin and Hannah (Sydney) and the late Alistair Webb. Much loved 'groovy Aunty Jess' to all her nieces and nephews: The Windle family, (Southland), The Cruttenden family (Nelson and Wellington), The Reynolds family (Taumarunui). And dear friend and much loved by the Simmonds-Connolly family (Matiere). Sadly, Jessie's played her last round of golf - just one too many strokes in her final game. She leaves an indelible mark on all those who loved, and knew, her. A lady of strength and character. Jessie will be forever in our hearts. As per Jessie's wishes a private family cremation has taken place. Special and grateful thanks to all the wonderful golfing ladies in Taupo - she lived for and loved her regular events with each of you. And to the staff at St John's Wood Aged Care & Retirement Home in Taupo: sincere thanks for all your kindness and care of our Jessie.
