TAPPER, Jess Brian Purcell (Jess). Born December 2, 1957. Passed away on February 16, 2020. Beloved son of Brian and Pat Tapper. Loved only brother of Charmaine, Heather, Chris Ann, Deborah, Barbara, Adrienne and Patience. Loved brother-in-law and uncle of their families. Aged 62 years. Relatives and friends warmly invited to a celebration of Jess's life at City Light Church Hall, Balmain, Sydney on Saturday 7 March 2020 at 12 noon.

Oh Jess, oh Jess -- Time never wearied our friendship, as we kept contact from our teen years, I can only say I loved my friend Jess. A poetic prince with a fervour for the creative, he challenged our minds and stirred our souls to never be complacent and settle for less than the truth, which was somewhere between his belief and ours. Love you mate, always in my heart -- Caz

Jess was one of the most remarkable human beings I've known. He ran a 24 hour poetry workshop for no pay and buffered by no college. This was his purpose in life, I'd say, and this is a very inspiring example. A rare human being.
