Well, no one in the family knows me, but Mr Pauling was my teacher in 1964 at Helensville Primary School. I was only talking about him to a neighbour last week .... the story goes like this - Neighbour was complimenting me on my garden and in particular the Stocks ... so I preceded to tell her my story, When I was in Mr Pauling's Class we were doing flower displays for our Agriculture Day, I was entering "6 best blooms", I was trying to arrange them, took too long, and Mr Pauling grabbed my 6 best blooms and shoved them into a large agee preserving jar, he said "they are 6 best blooms, not display of 6 best blooms" I got 1st Prize - afterwards he said to me "I did good didn't I" - never forgotten that. Rest in Peace Mr Pauling

So, so sorry to see this. Warren was a great man, wise and well-educated. He managed the RTLB Centre and many staff so competently and with integrity and compassion. While it's been many years since I worked with him I have often thought about those times and the sayings that Warren had. He had a really witty sense of humour and there was much laughing at times. Sending sincere condolences to Felicity and their children and grandchildren. Warren will be remembered fondly for many years to come.
