Jennifer HART Obituary

HART, Jennifer Joane (Jenny). Passed away peacefully on Monday 19 January 2026 at Auckland Hospital, aged 81 years. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Michael and Rosemary (deceased), Brett and Lynn, David and Christine, and Tony and Inge. Cherished aunt and great aunt to many. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Michaels Catholic Church, 6 Beatrice Road, Remuera, Thursday 29 January at 10.00am.

Earlier today

Jenny was a wonderful colleague at the University of Auckland. I hope she had a very happy retirement. She was a great advocate for library assistants, our union rep. I remember her almost nagging to make people sign up for government superannuation when the scheme was being closed to new members. I have certainly benefited from that now.
