Jennifer DEOKI Obituary

Deoki, Jennifer Mary (Jenny) (Nee Gay). A mighty matriarch has passed. Suddenly and unexpectedly on 21st July, aged 84. Much loved wife for 59 years of Ian, treasured mother of Mark, Kiran, and Maya (deceased), adored mother in law of Murray and Rachel. Cherished Grandmother of Harley, Lauren, Rhys, Zach, Josh, and Nikita. A celebration will be held at Fountains Funerals Papakura at 2:30 PM on Friday 25th July. Donations to the Parkinson's society in Lieu of Flowers. Special thanks to the residents and staff of Acacia Cove Village for their support. Jenny leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren appreciating fine cars, fine food, and the occasional Chardonnay.

As a childhood friend of Maya´s I can still only think of Jenny as Mrs. Deoki!
I have so many memories of my afterschool play dates with Maya at Redhill and how I always loved being there because of how Jenny made me feel so special.
Bretton crackers with tomato, cheese and salt and pepper always on the after school snack menu.

I have wonderful memories of time spent with the Gay family in Pine Ave. Christchurch. Such a warm welcoming family, who I loved staying with. Sad to see another member of that interesting, loving family gone.

I met Jenny through my mum (Heidi) who use to clean her place in red hill for many years. She´s a lovely person, always loved to talk to her about her day and she would talk about her grandkids with us. She has a beautiful soul and forever be missed! I´m sad she has past. She can now be with maya and have beautiful memories together. Love you Jenny xx

Wonderful childhood memories with Jenny in South Brighton.
Memories of her wedding and mine.
It is hard to imagine the families grief at this time. We will be back in NZ in September and we will definitely meet up and swap stories of Jenny.
