Jenifer, I never got the priviledge to meet you, but the legacy of works you wrote on Wi Maihi Te Rangikaheke of Ngati Rangiwewehi [that you have left for all New Zealanders and the world] was an inspiration and a saviour to me. Present and future generations will be inspired by your incredible taonga gift. You are such a special lady, a Toa Wahine, and you have inspired me to one day leave a similar legacy of work. I only read about your passing last night and I noted that you passed away on the 21 January, WOW! I had a significant event happen on that very date, all inspired by the great Wi Maihi as well. No doubt Wi Maihi and your loving husband and your tupuna were their to meet you at the pearly gates of heaven, moe mai - rest in peace, arohanui na Lois

Memories of my godmother, Jenifer, as an elegant, intelligent woman ... unusual and precious gifts for me as a child included an exquisite Japanese doll, pearls from S&C for my 21st. She taught with mama at Tamaki College and taught me at Baradene. My son took his first steps at her house. Rest in peace.

I remember you well at Tamaki College Miss Tole (as we knew you then). You were one of the foundation teachers and I remember you as always being dressed so beautifully and you always had your lovely face fully made up every day. Rest now in peace with your beloved husband.

Will be remembered as a great teacher, with a vibrant personality and good sense of humour. The lady who taught me the joys of reading Shakespeare. My sincere condolences to family and friends.
