Tennis Auckland would like to extend our condolences to Jeff´s family and friends at this difficult time.
Jeff was and hugely respected tennis player, competing against many of the Australian greats of the day. He won the NZ national singles titles 3 times and represented NZ in the Davis Cup both as a player and later as Captain.
In 2004, Jeff and wife Heather Robson were awarded the The Halberg Trust NZ Herald `Lifetime Achievement´ Award for contribution to badminton and tennis in New Zealand.
Jeff was a foundation member of the International Tennis Club of New Zealand in 1956 and has been the Patron and Life Member. He was also a Tennis Auckland Life Member and was also the chairman of the committee for the first Auckland Invitation Tournament at the Stanley Street venue before it became the now named ASB Classic.
Jeff will be missed by many.

Jeff will be missed by all tennis and badminton players throughout New Zealand and overseas. He gave so much back to both sports - a wonderful player, administrator and above all a friend to many! My love to his family. Jill
