Jeanne GALLAGHER Obituary

GALLAGHER, Jeanne Frances (nee Macfarlane). Peacefully on Tuesday 19th July 2022 in her 89th year, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of Gordon for 61 years. Loving mother and mother-in- law of Michael and Kirsten Forrester, Moira, Catherine and the late Calum Maclean, Robert and Toni Patterson- Gallagher, Peter and Jeanne Snelling, Stephen and Sarah. Grandma of her 12 treasured Grandchildren. Daughter of Adam and Verlie Macfarlane, loved sister and sister-in-law of Gordon and Anne Macfarlane (Auckland). Grateful thanks to Msgr John Harrison, Dr James Bishop, Otago Community Hospice, the wonderful staff at Yvette Williams and all who cared for her. A Requiem Mass for Jeanne will be held on Wednesday 27th July at 11am at St Joseph's Cathedral, Corner Rattray Street & Smith Street Dunedin. Followed by a private burial. A Rosary will be recited at the Cathedral on Tuesday 26th July at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and can be left at the Mass.
