Jean GIBSON Obituary

GIBSON, Jean. Passed away peacefully with her daughters present on 11 July 2022, age 95. Beloved wife of the late Eric Hamilton Gibson; daughter of Thomas and Beatrice Fishwick; sister of Constance; much-loved mother of Irene and Janine; thoughtful mother-in-law of Alan and Andrew; proud Nana to Sarah and Michael, and their children Connor, Jachin, Gracie and Rufus. Instead of flowers, a donation to St John in memory of Jean would be appreciated. A service to celebrate Jean's long life will be held at Ponsonby Baptist Church, 43 Jervois Road, Ponsonby on Friday 15 July 2022 at 1pm.

I will never forget meeting Jean and Eric on the Opua ferry many years ago. Such a delightful encounter.
The link with a past generation has now gone, but the memories will endure. A sweet soul now at peace.
