Jean DICKINSON Obituary

DICKINSON, Jean (nee McCathie). Jeannie passed away at Gulf Rise, Red Beach, Auckland on 15 June 2025, in her 100th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Brian, loved mother and mother in law of Don and Sally, Allan and Andrea ,the late Stuart and Lois , Jan and Stephen. Special grandmother to James, Alex, Georgia, Matt, Dan and Hayley. Great grandmother to Tani, Nikau, Neevie, Archer, Benji and Austin. She will be forever missed as the backbone of our family. Heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff for her care at Gulf Rise Care suites. A private service has taken place to celebrate her life.

I met Jeannie through the Whangaparaoa Golf Club, 30 plus years ago.
Jeannie was a special friend and many good times were shared .
She will be missed by all who were privileged to know her.
Rest now, Jeannie after a life well lived.

Jean was one in a million. Met through golf & friendship continued long after-she was so interesting & so interested in others. It was my privilege to have known. Heartfelt sympathies to her family-you were her life & so loved!
