PIGGIN, Jean-Baptiste. On 28 June 2019 at Hamburg, aged 66. Beloved husband of Sabine and father of Dominic, Lennard and Benedict, loved son of the late Des and Rita Piggin, loved brother and brother in law of Felicity and Arthur, Elizabeth and Jason, Stephen and Catherine, and Clare and Richard, and all his nieces and nephews. Really sad to find out about the loss of Jean-Baptiste. We corresponded a lot for a while as part of the group sorting out the Dreis family immigrants to Australia and I had actually come back after a long break to update him on some recent finds, only to realise it was too late. He was far too young and will be a great loss not only to his family but to the greater research community.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Jean-Baptiste. We corresponded over many years about the Dries family from Lorchhausen and NSW. I knew he was ill but only just learned of his death. Much too young to be taken from his family. My sincere condolences to all his kin.
