Jason Campbell CRAIG

Jason CRAIG Obituary

CRAIG, Jason Campbell. Born 30 July 1969. Following a three year disagreement with cancer the loved son of Campbell and Pauline, brother to Janna, father to the heartbursting beauty of Isaac and Eva and mate to too many to list finally checked out. If fifty six seems a poor return on life, those years were packed. Determined while empathetic, considered while forthright, two decades abroad failed to shake Jason's aching love for NZ, evidenced in a late flourishing, typically committed embrace of outdoor life. Jason knew ours is a beautiful country, with our job to walk lightly, cherishing and nurturing her. Rest peacefully among her soils old fella. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the wonderful team at Mercy Hospitals here in Auckland.

Earlier today

Jason was my first best friend when I was 5 years old when his family lived in Green Bay. I have so many great memories of our younger years. Throwing stones, playing in the bush, Campbell´s Land Rover, Josh the dog. Sending all my love to his family.

Yesterday

"Nothing I can say will ease the pain but I´m here. I´m holding you all in my heart through every moment of this unbearable grief. He left the world far too soon. His memory will always live on."

Yesterday

I worked with Jason at Penguin while he was in the UK. He was a force of nature, always upbeat and so full of life. We had some great times in London together.
His final years are an inspiration to us all - how to milk the most out of the time you have left.
I'm so sad to hear he's gone. You'll be missed mate xx
