I had the pleasure of meeting Jarrod while hiking the Abel Tasman Great Walk in 2022. His adventurous spirit, love for exploration, and appreciation of nature immediately caught my attention. The news of his passing has both shocked and saddened me. Though we hadn't spoken in a while, I followed his adventures on social media to see which journey he would embark on next. I will treasure the memories of our shared adventures. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family during this difficult time. Jarrod lived life to the fullest, inspiring many, including myself, to embrace adventure and step outside our comfort zones more often. Rest in peace, Jarrod Bhana.

Oh J, I still can't believe eh. We were desk buddies at one point and in that time you spoke about your love for travel and adventure. I called you J simply because I had a habit of giving people nicks and in return when I said I need a new name "Mally" was your response lol. What I remember the most is how you were always kind, considerate, patient and overall a lovely soul. If I was away from the office for a period of time, you would always come over to say hi or a quick hug. You will be truly missed my friend.

Fly high and my deepest condolences to your loved ones.

Mate, sorry I can´t be there at the funeral to support the others who loved you so dearly. You´d be so thrilled with how many have come together to celebrate your life and the adventures you´ve lived. It was a hilarious, wild, but great pleasure flatting with you back in the day and you really had grown in so many ways. Lots of love, see you when we see you J

Jarrod was a lovely, happy, carefree and a soulful traveller who lived every moment of his life to its fullest. He had great work ethics and at the same time a cool head and a chill attitude. It is hard to find such happy souls these days. A loss too early for a such a happy young soul. May God provide strength to his family and loved ones to deal with his untimely loss. He will always be cherished in our memories as he has left positive and happy memories for us to remember him as a lovely person and a great soul.

Jarrod was such a well loved work colleague. He was curious, kind to all and beamed whenever he spoke of his trekking adventures around Aoteroa. Taken too soon, he will be sadly missed.
