Florence Boyd Obituary

Florence Margaret Boyd, 88, of Fox Chapel, formerly of Clairton, died Saturday, October 23, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Noel F. Boyd. She was the dear mother of Janice (Bill Erickson) Boyd and the Rev. Thomas (Jane) Boyd; sister of Mary Louise (Richard) Bickerton and Ninetta (the Rev. Gerald) Eddy; grandmother of Shannon (Joe) Bursick, Brian Boyd and Amber (Adam) Boyd Vincent; great-grandmother of Avery, Adelyn and sweet angel Emma. Friends and relatives will be received at the Burket-Truby Funeral Home Cremation & Alternative Services Inc., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Dorseyville Alliance Church, 3703 Saxonburg Blvd., Dorseyville. Private family burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Family suggests memorial contributions to Emma Bursick Memorial Fund, 1501 Reedsdale St., Suite 3002, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15233.

What a wonderful influence Florence and Noel were to us kids growing up at Bentleyville. I can rememeber their smiles and caring hearts. They will finally get to see how many lives they have touched by their own love of Christ.

Dear Janice, Tom and Shannon,
I was so sorry to get the news from Mom yesterday. I have so many fond memories from Fox Chapel with your family. I think of them from time to time and will cherish them my whole life.
I rejoice in that her and Uncle Bud are together now in paradise. May our God who has given them both peace and rest, bless and strengthen you in the days ahead.
