I am so saddened by Jan's passing, but am relieved it was peaceful after her valiant and staunch stand against severe cancer over the past several months. Jan and Peter were wonderful neighbours for the past 37 years. We enjoyed a lot of laughs, wonderful music, shared interests, and friendship, and not to say a good few vinos on Sunday afternoons. Jan was a courageous character, very intelligent, and it was a testament to her strength and determination that she worked in a job she loved until she was almost 80. Proudly English, and a great lover of motor sports of all things, she had wonderful stories to tell of their younger days in the UK. Jan was adored by Peter, and together they shared many adventures, went to many concerts, and doted on many lucky cats during their 68 years of marriage. I share her family's sadness, and my love goes out to Peter at this time.
