Janet ANDERSON Obituary

ANDERSON, Janet (Jan). On February 10th, 2020 aged 80 years. Peacefully passed away at her daughter's home with her family. Dearly loved wife of the late Olly. Cherished sister of John Hartley. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Kenneth, Kathleen and Phil, Fiona, and Sharman. Treasured grandmother of Phoebe, James, Eva, Lewis, Greta, Marc, Emily and Samantha. Loved great grandmother to Baeden and Laylah. Our matriarch will be deeply missed. A Service will be held for Jan on Thursday (13 February) 11.00am at The Natural Funeral Company, 120 New North Rd, Eden Terrace. This will be followed by a memorial service at her beloved Whatuwhiwhi at a later date. Communications to 32 Sherwood Ave, Grey Lynn, Auckland 1021.

So sorry to hear about Jan. I am the 'other' Jan from the Kaitaia Family History Group which went on to become a branch of NZSG. Jan, well what can I say - I could tell about the time I left my daughter Andrea in her power chair in the ASB to come back to find that Jan had absconded with her, she thought she could drive the chair better than Andrea, people were dodging them in all directions, very amusing. Jan also procured a Shortland St T Shirt for Andrea, still much loved and appreciated. Our other claim to fame was our meetings in the wine section at Pak N Save, Kaitaia. Her and Olly were like teenagers and she missed him dearly, I hope that they are together again to love and laugh. Safe journey Jan A,

My love to all of Jan's family. You all have been been there every step of her journey to comfort and assist when she needed it. Rest in Peace my dear friend and confidant but know you are in a better place where we will meet up again one day.
