Condolences to Jane's family and husband Wayne. I knew Jane (not that well) when she was a physio student in Dunedin, but have always heard her news over the years through our mutual friend Christine. As I remember Jane was always very cheerful, pretty, outgoing and lots of fun. Very sad to hear of her passing. Patricia Barlow (San Francisco)

HUGHES, Jane Ellen. Deeply loved sister-in- law of Rob and Joanne Wills and Mark and Dinah Walker and aunt and great aunt to their families. Thank you for the flair, warm welcomes and generous hospitality. We will remember your mango salad and boned turkeys at Chirstmas, the birthday vouchers, your immaculate style, and detailed organization. At Takatu we admired your matching bathing suits and sarongs, Granny's tablecloths, your well provisioned pantry, your annual waterski, stylish gumboots and the icy cold beers and a wheel of cheese as you hosted us to celebrate every milestone. We will miss your compassion, wisdom and mischievous humour. So "put on your lippy Aunty Jane" and wow them in Heaven.
