Jan GOWER Obituary


GOWER, Jan Acton (Jan) Passed away on 24-05-2014. Much loved wife of Keith Gower, dearly loved mother of Rory and Tracy plus Grandchildren Kate, Scott, Joshua and Alec. Also Tanya, Mitchel, Alex and Mark. Jan fought a brave fight against an aggressive cancer and pneumonia for just eleven weeks from first diagnosis. Throughout she was remarkably positive, brave and uncomplaining and a number of her nursing staff were touched by her sense of humour. She will be missed by her many friends who enjoyed her cooking and personality. Our thanks to the staff of Hospice, Tauranga Hospital and Althorp Hospital. A private family cremation has been held at Tauranga.

Jan was a loyal, compassionate, generous and fun-loving friend of more than 30 years. I was so lucky to have you as a friend and will cherish our shared times forever. Jan, you were so brave facing your battle. Rest in peace my dear friend.
