WHINERAY, James S. It is with a heavy heart that the Auckland Grammar School Old Boys' Association recognises the passing of James Whineray '74. As a student, Jim was a member of the rowing 1st VIII and 1st XV squads and also represented Grammar as a prefect. He served Grammar as OBA President (Nov 2010-Oct 2012), on the Executive and on the Headmaster's Council. A proud Tibbs House Old Boy, Jim volunteered on the 50th Anniversary Committee. A generous teammate, staunch family man and a resourceful businessman, Jim was reliably always positive and reliably always a gentleman.
