James SCOTT Obituary

SCOTT, James Bryce. Bryce passed away peacefully, aged 87, with his family by his side on Wednesday, 4 December 2024, at Te Awa Lifecare Village, Cambridge. Dearly loved husband and travelling companion of Sonia (nee Berresford). Loved father of Joanne (deceased), Richard and Robyn, Craig and Kylie. Loved grandfather of Matthew and Zoe, Sarah and Boaz, Katherine, Alexandra and Marlee. Great grandfather of Maddie, Leo, Penny and Rose. Bryce was born in Taumarunui and grew up and then farmed in the Otangiwai Valley in the King Country before moving to Matamata and dairy farming in 1995. Our sincere thanks to the staff at Te Awa for their loving care of Bryce and the support shown to Bryce's family. A memorial service to celebrate Bryce's life will be held in the Rawhiti Room, Matamata Club, Rawhiti Avenue, Wednesday, 11 December at 1pm. In honour of Bryce please consider donating to the Neurological Foundation, donations may be left at the service or made online at neurological.org.nz Livestream link available at watersonsfuneralservices.co. nz (under funeral recordings). So very sorry to hear of Bryce's passing. Such a thorough gentleman, and one of the many wonderful people who I have been fortunate to know my whole life. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend tomorrow, but sending my kindest regards to Sonia, Richard and Craig and families, Cate Sexton - (Cathrine Lindsay/Raitt - Otangiwai Valley will always be the place I think of as home.
