James RUSSELL Obituary

RUSSELL, James Turnball. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday 24 April 2025. Dearly loved and loving husband of Jan. Father of Kirsten, Belinda and Martin. Cherished grandad to his grandchildren. A private cremation has been held, and a family celebration of Jimmy's life is planned.

Much love to you all on the recent loss of your much beloved husband, father and grandfather.
I have such happy childhood memories of Jimmy taking us passed the breakers at Mt Maunganui and feeling so brave and adventurous. We all have wonderful memories of Jimmy and his kindness and humour.
It was also so good to catch up with you both on your visit to Adelaide .

Thinking of you all in the loss of Jimmy. I have great memories of staying with you both as a child always happy and fun visits. I still have the set of fingerprints Jimmy took when I was 5! Such a lovely man, I hope the great memories you have will bring you comfort. He is fondly remembered by all of the Barnes/Dove families

So sad to hear of Jimmy's passing, Jan. I have such lovely memories of staying with you both in Wellington as a young teenager. The very cute Irishman with the adorable accent. He was always kind, generous and made us laugh. I know he will be so sadly missed by you Jan and all your family. Thinking of you all.
