James MEIKLE Obituary

MEIKLE, James Enfield (Jim). On February 15, 2026, at home with his family and beautiful garden; aged 87 years. Devoted and loved husband of Elizabeth for 62 years. Much adored father and father-in- law of Susan & Michael, Belinda, and the late James. Cherished grandfather of Amelia, Henry and Eva, Albert, Wilbur and Teddy. Jim lived a long and full life and will be missed by his many friends, fellow golfers, and bridge players. Donations in Jim's memory would be appreciated and can be made online to Te Omanga Hospice www.teomanga.org. nz. Special thanks to Dr. Franz Hubman and the staff of Te Omanga Hospice for their wonderful care. A service to celebrate Jim's life will be held in St Marys Anglican Church, 13 Terminus St, Silverstream, Upper Hutt on Saturday, 21 February 2026 at 2.00pm.
