68 years young, it´s sad you´ve gone Uncle Jimmy! I´m sorry I can´t be there today to say goodbye. There are so many things to thank you for, but more than anything else, just thanks for being you. Thank you for helping me with Candy when I was growing up, and how lucky I was to have the best farrier shoeing my pony. You always turned up when I needed your help. My best memory of you is when you turned up to take us out to Hunua and Candy dragged you across the paddock refusing to get on the float. After you spoke to her using some special words I can´t write, she followed you onto the float and we never had any problems floating her after this. It´s sad knowing you are not going to be around anymore. Lots of love to Aunty Kay, Chris, Debbie, Sharleen, Mike and your grandchildren. You were definitely larger than life and lived a full life. I am sure today will be the send-off that you wanted. Rest easy, lots of love Shereen

Offering my sincerest condolences to the wife & family of the late Jimmy Lobb; and also to his siblings and their families. My sister & I grew up in Tuakau and the numerous Lobb children were our playmates. I very clearly recall Jimmy being bought home as a newborn; so that was a very long time ago. Rest in Peace Jimmy.

I tried to sneak into the Tuakau Cosmopolitan Club with my girlfriends when I was 16yrs old. Feeling quite chuffed with myself & as I was walking in, a voice from the bar said "I think you're in the wrong place". I looked over & there was my uncle Jimmy. Not wanting a size 9 in front of my friends, I replied with "You're right!", spun around on my heels & quickly exited. I never went back in there whilst a teenager in case he was there!
