James KIDD Obituary

KIDD, James Victor (Jim). Jim passed away peacefully with his beloved Rozie by his side on Saturday 15 March 2025 (after a short battle with cancer). Cherished friend and husband of Rozie for 39 years, devoted and adored father of Rob and Claire (deceased). Loving father-in-law to Justine and devoted grandfather to Hugh and Leo. A kind, gentle and caring man. We will miss him forever. Jim's family extend their heartfelt appreciation to the team at Mercy Hospice for their unfaltering care and support during the past two weeks. In accordance with Jim's wishes a private family cremation will be held. Gentlemen, Jim requested that you wear a white shirt please (long or short sleeve). In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Mercy Hospice https:/ /mercyhospice.org.nz/ donate/ Correspondence to P.O. Box 11978 Ellerslie Auckland 1542. A Celebration of Jim's life will be held at St Chad's Church Community Centre, Meadowbank on Tuesday, 25 March at 1.30pm.

Thanks Jim for the long chats on the Hum deck "drinking the coffee pot dry" as you say. For being one of those rare souls who supported me through thick and thin, who treated me like a second daughter and believed in a dream. You said you loved the road trips with your son and to put on Bruce Springsteens "Born to run" and put peddle to the metal for a brief moment in time, feel true freedom. You worked so hard to help the community, including the tribes you helped and to meet the promise of looking after your love, friend and wife Roz and your son Rob of whom you are so proud. Your work done and your time come to join your daughter Clare who you have missed every day and run free. Till we meet again I will miss you, we will miss you. We love you Jim. Rosy, Oskari and Lèo x
