James HOWLAND Obituary

Have only just seen this. When I was at Putaruru High School, I used to look after Jim & Elizabeth's children every Friday, after school, until they came home from their shop in the evening. A truly lovely couple. Sheena Gorman (Bryce), UK

Jim Howland was the grandson of John and Mary Eleanor (Fitzpatrick Howland. Jim was a knowledgeable and generous sharer of Fitzpatrick and McAuley family details and records going back to their New Brunswick, Canada, times. His knowledge and interest will be sadly missed.
