I first met Gus at Manly about 1943. His family had a batch on the beachfront. Lately until health problem intervened, I would meet Gus with his friends at the Vicky One coffee bar on a Wednesday morning.

Sending our deepest condolences to Ali, Duncan and Will and the extended Gardner family. Jocko held Gus in very high regard and our times growing up sharing holidays and family times boating at Kawau, out the back of a car boots at Eden Park after a rugby international, Ellerslie Race Course centrefield on a Boxing Day or Easter carnival and endless other experiences remain iconic memories of deep friendship. Much love, Johnny O'Loghlen and Edwina Kwan
