I feel very privileged to have had both Jim and Joy as friends for more than twenty years and to have known Jim and his thoughtful, respectful and dignified manner is something uniquely special.
Kia hora te marino
Kia whakapapa pounamu te moana
Kia tere te karohirohi i mua i to huarahi
May the calm be widespread
May the sea glisten like that of greenstone
May the shimmering light guide you on your journey

We think of, sadly miss, yet celebrate the many qualities of Jim; his equable nature, incisive mind and laconic wit.He shared all this with us, within a long friendship, together with his loving family. What a rich vein in our lives this constant, worthy fellow has been. He will be greatly missed.
Our deepest condolences and love to dear Joy and all of Jim's wonderful family.

I remember Jim from Grammar as well as a member of the Remuera Golf Club. He was a member of the four when I played my first ever round of golf in 1942.R.I.P
