My Queen of Ngati Porou ki Harataunga has gone and with it an understanding that she is free of pain and suffering in her final moments, only to leave us here to miss her until we see her again. I will always remember aunty in the most positive ways as an understanding, intellectual, caring naturalistic portrayal of what our world in Harataunga means to us. Go well my aunty, until we meet again. I will celebrate you and your life from this day forward. Here is my poem for you today. Nature has a mysterious way of bringing forth the day, in all its glory to tell a story, knowing it will portray, the patterned lands, the artists hands, the vision clearly seen, beneath my art my inspiration lies where Tipuna have already been. RIP x x
