Memories of such a calm, kind, gentle man.
Our love to you all.
What a gift you gave Jacob, being able to care for him at home with you all over these last weeks.
Special thoughts are with Brigid, brother Andy and their 3 beauties so far away in London town.
Be engulfed by all of your wonderful memories.

I would like to say that I knew him as a small stamp dealer who appeared at various stamp fairs and exhibitions in the Auckland area.i suppose the largest amount of stamps i bought from him was about $5 yet he always recognised me and told me if he had recently got any of the stamps i used to buy from him.
His prices were always very fair and truly reflected the condition and value of the stamps.
I used to chat awy to myself and my wife when he was waiting for customers. His English pronunciation of words was often hard to understand and he said it was because when his parents and their children migranted to NZ he had already completed his secondary education so he did not attend school in NZ. His brothers he told me spoke like Kiwis as they all attended school in NZ and quickly learnt the Kiwi English. Something he said he always regretted. He always told me he thought NZ was a great country with great people and he had never regretted that he came to NZ.
My wife and my stamp collections will be the poorer now because of his passing. He was always a very kind and helpful man to his customers large or small and that is not how all dealers behave.I hope his stock is sold to another dealer with a similar attitude towards his customers.
When the members of the Philatelic club I belonged to were told several months ago that he had been sent home to live out his last weeks thee as there appeared that the hospitals
Could do no more for him. Everybody who spoke said how kind and helpful he had always been and that everyone was sad that his life was coming to an end, in such a sad way.
His legacy will live on for many years in the stamp albums and minds of his many former customers.
Good stamping Jacob and thanks for all your help and enthusiasm.
