Jack was a wonderful man. He had great wit, was extremely smart and seemed to exhibit a confident no nonsense approach to life and work. As young Engineers and future Managers, (I was hired by Jack) we admired him and will always be thankful for the opportunities, guidance and friendship he extended us. RIP and condolences.

Our condolences to Bronwyn & Family. We have many happy memories of Jack as a great neighbour for 10 years and of our granddaughters riding their scooters together up and down the driveway. You are all in our thoughts today.

Condolences to Bronwyn & family. I grew up living next to Jack thru all his varsity years. He always strived for the highest in every thing he did. I crewed for him with brother Garry on his yacht, remembered his Riley Kestral sports car he had while at varsity, plus heaps of other life memories. Rest in peace Jack with lots of love from Clive & the late Wendy,

I have many memories of the time that Jack and I spent together on the Council of the Contractors Federation in the late 1970´s, early 1980´s. Many years have passed since then and sadly our paths have crossed infrequently during that time.
My condolences to Bronwyn and family at this sad time

My condolences to Bronwyn and family. I enjoyed my time working under Jack and it's thanks to him that I was brought into the Fletcher fold - initially, on secondment from Murray-North Partners, as Project Engineer on the Mangere Bridge project in the early 80s; and then full-time in 1985, starting with the Project Engineer role on the Tauranga Harbour Crossing Project. And soon after that job finished he sent me to America to help our sister company (General Construction Company) out with numerous bridge, wharf and dam projects.
Jack did great work for Fletchers. Rest in Peace.
