Ivy LAVAS Obituary

My sincere sympathy to Mr Lavas and Christine, Paul, Mary and families. I last spoke to the ever-elegant-Ivy at St Marks Church one evening by turning up there by sheer co-incidence for mass. We had a good chat/catch-up and she joked re her "buggy" - "yes remember Peter drove me everywhere and the kids joke now mum you are driving your buggy". She also said "come and see us Milica at the home. Peter is in hospital, I go see him everyday but will remember you". Apologies I did not make it to visit. Our days in Panmure/Mt Wellington and up at my Aunty Mary/Uncle Ivan Bilish (Ferndale Road with the nearby Dallys) do not seem that long ago! Sorry I could not make her funeral. Ivy Kathleen Lavas, who passed away on Dec 11th 2025. Much respected sister-in-law of the late Richard and Louise Lavas, loved aunt of John Lavas, Karen Vodanovich (nee Lavas) and the late John Vodanovich, and great aunt of Angela and Jonathan and their families.
