Iola Newton was a great friend of my mother´s. What an absolutely glamorous and beautiful woman she was. I remember her at the top of our road in Kilbirnie where we all lived. She was a great friend to mum and a wonderful woman to have in our lives. Beautiful is an understatement. Love to her family. Xxx

Dear Loly (Iola)

As a young one growing up I recall the times when yourself, Jennifer (Jenny) Hall, Ina De Polo, Marie Gibson (nee Conlon, my Mum (dec)) et al got together.

Those occasions were full of hilarity and such good fun - brings a smile to my face every time I think about those times. Your wit Loly was second-to- none and the way you all sparred off each other was absolutely hilarious, hysterical in fact.

Your special gift of being able to do `readings´ will always be fondly remembered.

You had a very long association with my Mum, Marie (dec), and Jenny as far back as college days - St Marys College. Thank you for being the strong woman that you were. We appreciated and loved you very much.

Death leaves a heartache;
No one can heal
Love leaves a memory;
No one can steal

All my love to Iola´s family during this tremendously sad time...
