Ian WHITE Obituary

WHITE, Ian Laurence (Chalky). Ian 'Chalky' White, beloved husband of Mary, died peacefully surrounded by family at the wonderful Maygrove Village on 17th January 2024, aged 83 years. Born February 6, 1940 in Howick to Laurence and Thelma. Loved brother of Malcolm (deceased), Bruce (deceased), Rob (deceased) and Elaine, and uncle of Daniel and Amy. Best possible father of Darren, Antony (deceased) and Matthew, and father in law to Sarah and Amy. Step-father to Sonya , Paul and Darrin. Proud Grandfather to Samuel, Stephen, David, Dominic, Sebastian, Anthony, Zara, Brandon, Mitchell, Olivia and great-grandson Jaiden A dedicated member of Lions and lover of all people , places and sport. He will be sorely missed but remembered forever as a kind and good man to all that had the luck to know him around the world. A Service to Celebrate Ian's life will be held at the Orewa Baptist Church, Loop Road, Orewa at 12.00 noon on Friday 26th January 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family have requested donations to Orewa Lions Club, for bank details phone 021841125.
