Ian THOMPSON Obituary

THOMPSON, Ian Albert. 26 March 1934 - 25 September 2025 - Aged 91 years. Passed away peacefully at Bupa Hospital on 25th September 2025. Dearly loved husband of Isabella (Phyl) for 69 years. Loved father and father-in- law of Maree (deceased) and Ian Gray; Craig and Jude Thompson; Cheryl (deceased); and Paula and Greg (deceased) Jaques. Treasured Poppa of Petra and Kurt, Elle and Jono, Jordan and Cody, Daniel and Michelle, Logan, and Tayler and Mitch; and Great Pop Pop to Kirra, Gray, and Koa. A private family service will be held, in accordance with Ian's wishes. Forever loved and remembered.

Ian was a very dear and much loved friend and neighbour to us.
Many happy times shared and hearing him play the guitar and his lovely voice as he sang his favourite country and western songs. We will miss him and his quick wit. He was the epitome of a great host, and always quick to lend a hand if there was work to be done.
A great golfer and sailor.
Sail on dear Ian, you'll live forever in our hearts.

Ian was a friendly funny person. Always got along with him well. It has been a pleasure and an honour to know him. He will be sadly missed. Would love to know when his funeral is if someone could please email the information I will be greatly appreciative.
