SWEETAPPLE, Ian Robert. Peacefully in Wellington on Wednesday 19 January 2022. Dearly loved father of Clare and Tim, and much loved Grandad of Molly, Hunter, Pippa and Liv. Loved brother, uncle and friend. A service to celebrate Ian's life will be held in Old St Paul's on Wednesday 26 January at 1pm (vaccine passes required), followed by a private burial. I was sorry to hear of Ian´s passing, his contribution to managing and disposing of Health surplus properties was significant. Ian always thought out of the box and came up with innovative solutions.In particular the arrangement that secured the Ngunguru spit for the conservation estate. We didn´t always agree but I enjoyed our discussions over 20 years .. Rest In Peace

Dear Clare I am Carole's friend. So very sad that you have lost your lovely Dad. I would visit him whenever I was in Wellington and we would chat about his favourite subjects - his brilliant and much loved daughter and grandchildren, and property development. Take care of yourself, you will be exhausted.
