Dear Ian
You have been so brave for so long that your death seems totally unexpected and is a terrible shock to all of us. We thank you for your massive contribution to Business Excellence and for your continued support and friendship. Only a few days ago you helped us out - we are shocked and saddened at your passing and you are leaving a gap that will never be filled. June, our hearts go out to you and your family.
Best wishes from the team at the NZ Business Excellence Foundation (NZBEF)

Dear June and Family, I would like to express my sincere condolences at the passing of Ian. I got to know Ian in his role at the Business Excellence Foundation where he worked on the management of the judging for the New Zealand Franchise Awards. It was a pleasure to work with Ian as he was passionate in adding value to business and the Business Excellence framework. Ian was very brave in his battling of his cancer and would not let this get in the way of fulfilling his role. On behalf of the Franchise Association I would also like to extend our sincere condolences and thanks for his dedication to our awards. My husband Don also knew Ian well from his Naval career days and equally extends his sympathy at this sad time. Ian has touched many lives and we hope that your wonderful memories live on and that Ian rests in peace.

Dear June and Family,
My sincere condolences at the passing of Ian. I have worked with Ian in recent years through the Franchise Association on our Franchise Awards. Ian was our key contact regarding the judging for Business Excellence. It was a pleasure to work with Ian and he was always so positive with respect to his health. He was clearly very strong and brave. From myself and my husband Don, who worked with Ian in the navy and also on behalf of the Franchise Assoc we offer our sincere condolences to all your family at this time. May the fond memories last forever. Rest in Peace Ian - it was a pleasure to have worked with you.
