Ian PATTERSON Obituary
PATTERSON, Ian Robert. Died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Friday 2 January 2015 shortly after returning to New Zealand. Loved son of Don and Kathleen Patterson of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, brother of the late Helen and Keith, and friend to many. All are invited to his funeral service being held at Takapuna Boating Club, 39 The Strand, Takapuna Beach on Thursday 8 January at 1pm. Bring a photo and/or memory to include in his memorial book. In lieu of flowers you are invited to make a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis NZ (cfnz.org.nz/you-can-help-2/ donations).

Ian and I were close friends for many years. We lived in the same street in Newcastle upon Tyne, England and played together daily as kids. We hoped to meet up again in Newcastle but it was not to be. Farewell my friend.
