MACDONALD, Ian Eric. Passed away peacefully at home 13th August 2022, in his 88th year. Dearly loved husband of Yvonne, and the late Patricia (Patsy). Much loved Dad of Carol and Roy, Andrew and Jane, Peter and Pam and Jason and Kirstin, and Poppa to his 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A celebration of Ian's life will be held Thursday 18th August, 2pm at the Omokoroa Community Church, and will be livestreamed. For livestream details, see www.hopefunerals.co.nz. A burial service will be held Monday 22nd August, 10.30am at Mangonui Cemetery (Doubtless Bay). "To be absent from the body is present with the Lord". Donations to Salvation Army in lieu of flowers. Our deepest sympathy to you all at this time. We have fond memories of spending time with Ian as he was always interested in our lives and would take the time to visit. He was a very encouraging man and had a deep faith that he loved to share. He will be dearly missed by everyone. We are glad that he was in our lives even though it has been a long time since we saw him.
