My condolences for Ian's passing. Such a loss to family and friends. Great guy, so talented, wity, and always available to lend a hand. He will be truly missed.

We biked out to Puketutu today, Ian. Carrying our heavy hearts. All faffing around getting ready, we knew you would've been rolling your eyes but smiling at us too. We bloody miss you - but we're out there doing it. Cos you would've been. T-crew

Ian was one of the best guys I worked with so many years ago at Environmental Services back in the 90's . A big shock seeing his death notice and way way too soon. Condolences to his family and friends.

This is indeed a shock - we often saw Ian around the village and who could forget his presence on the softball grounds at Mangere Bridge. Ian was always cheering on the team, was always there for the kids. Our prayers and condolences to his family. Gone too soon. Alofa from the Wandstraats

such a shock!! i only saw you that week riding your bike in Mangere Bridge. It was great to re-connect and chat with you mate, since the Puke days, but taken way too soon.

Such a very sad loss, my heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends. Only knew Ian for a few years through a few projects we did together. A total professional with a real can do attitude. It was a total pleasure knowing you Ian, rest in peace my friend.

Such a lovely man. I only knew him through softball but it was obvious that he loved his family very much and he cared deeply for people in general.I wish all the best to his family and friends. Your loving caring personality will be missed

So sad to hear of Ian's passing- a shock indeed. I met Ian numerous times related to business to business over the years and he was always very professional and polite. My sincere condolences to family and work staff past and present.
